I have mixed feelings about this but regardless, this was predictable considering the new owners. I understand that the best person for the job should get the job and the goal of the magazine is to sell to black women not hire them.

- I actually know I guy who was in that situation but not as many women of course since he wasn't in the public's eye. I know the woman who filed the false claim. Her marriage was on the rocks and she wanted attention. Unfortunately, it's not as rare as you may think.

- I wouldn't read too much into the recent elections to mean anything. For example, I am pro-life and only think abortion is acceptable if the woman's life is in danger but I would have voted against the personhood admendment like I'm sure many Miss. prolifers did.

- It was a bit insensitive for him to say on air but I don't think it's a big deal. I thought a youth camp for a political party was a bit odd too and I'm sure it's to indoctrinate the youth. I would think that's all Beck was trying to say but I can't speak for him, of course.

- I trust the first link a bit more the the second one. It makes sense that it would vary from state to state. My guess is that most states don't allow it but that's just my assumption.
